Ingredients for homemade garlic bread

I love making simple and tasty recipes with minimal ingredients, and this homemade garlic bread definitely meets those qualifications.

  • Hamburger buns — This garlic bread recipe calls for four hamburger buns, but you can easily double the ingredients to use an entire 8-pack of buns. Hamburger buns make a perfect base for garlic toast and soak up the buttery-garlic spread.
  • Garlic butter spread — Combine butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt to make this delicious garlic spread.

How to make this easy garlic toast recipe at home

This homemade garlic bread is an easy recipe to make. First, slice the hamburger buns in half (if they aren’t already pre-sliced) and place on a plate. Next, soften the butter so that it’s a spreadable consistency, and add the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix it well, and spread onto the cut side of each bun.

I add a spoonful of spread to coat each bun, and this will evenly coat all the buns with no spread left. If you do have garlic butter left, you can add more to each bun until the garlic spread is gone.

Finally, you will bake the garlic toast face up for 10 minutes, and serve with your favorite main dish! I love serving it with spaghetti and lasagna. My husband loves it as a side with chicken or steak. It’s a versatile side dish to pair with any protein.
